Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Summary Job description: Assemble precision mechanical positioners for sub-micron applications - Assemble and solder associated electronics (PCB assemblies into enclosures, wiring harnesses, etc.) - Desired Skills: - Good fine motor skills (some parts are very, very small) - Attention to detail and patience - Aptitude for small mechanical parts Must be extremely detail oriented and motivated to work at the highest production standards
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
Able to solder electrical components and wiring
Properly and safely use all standard hand tools including, screw drivers, wrenches, and crimpers for contacts as small as 1mm
Fasten cables and wiring
Position and fasten units to assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
Inspect and test completed units for mechanical reliability
Help with prototyping of new parts
Use calipers and micrometers to measure parts and determine tolerances.
